Guaitil pottery pieces are handcrafted by artisan families who preserve traditional techniques inherited from the Chorotega culture.
Each piece is shaped by hand using natural clay from the region, carefully prepared and worked without industrial processes. Once formed, it is left to dry and then decorated with natural mineral pigments obtained from local stones and earth.
The designs are hand-painted and reflect traditional symbols and patterns inspired by pre-Columbian heritage. Finally, the pieces are fired in artisanal kilns, giving them their strength and distinctive finish.
The result is a unique work that combines history, cultural identity, and authentic craftsmanship.
